Chad Spalding
Sr. Project Engineer
Chad is a Sr. Project Engineer at GridStor, where he oversees technical activities for utility-scale BESS projects
from early-stage engineering through commercial operations. He brings more than five years of experience in the
renewable energy and electric utility industries. Prior to joining GridStor, Chad worked at esVolta, where he
supported the execution of more than a gigawatt-hour of BESS projects across the country. Earlier in his career,
he worked at Sargent & Lundy, supporting the engineering and design of substation projects. Chad holds a B.S.
in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the
state of Illinois
