Our Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) Approach
In prior reporting, GridStor identified ESG materiality topics of highest priority to us and to our stakeholders and on which we expect our ESG strategy and disclosure to focus.
GridStor is Developing ESG Targets & Monitoring Strategies
For example:
- Environmental:
- Target: Reduce power system emissions using the BESS facilities’ operations.
- Monitoring Strategy: We will establish internal measurement and reporting of facility operations to quantify impact on emission, using hourly accounting methodologies currently proposed as GHG Protocol Scope 2 revisions.
- Social:
- Target: Maintain our record of zero recordable injuries across all recordable hours of project work.
- Monitoring Strategy: Our EHS program includes tracking and accounting of recordable hours among our contractors and employees.
- Human Capital:
- Target: 100% of employees participate in at least one professional development opportunity enabled by the company annually.
- Monitoring Strategy: We recruit from a wide variety of backgrounds and provide support for employees to undertake continuing education and professional development.
- Governance:
- Target: Zero compliance violations associated with our corporate governance policies.
- Monitoring Strategy: We maintain strong Board-approved policies and governance documentation, with an appointed Chief Compliance Officer responsible to the Board of Directors.
