Ben Lackey
General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer
Ben has more than 25 years of legal experience, most of that in the renewable energy industry. Most recently, he was General Counsel for Avangrid Renewables, where he provided legal support for the acquisition, development, financing, construction, and operation of over 7 GW of wind and solar projects. Ben began his career with Cadwalader in New York and also practiced with Jones Walker in New Orleans and Tonkon Torp in Portland before joining PPM Energy, the predecessor to Avangrid Renewables, in 2004. Ben earned a BA from Bard College and a J.D from the University of Chicago Law School.
