White Tank Reliability Project
Building Energy Reliability in Maricopa County
At every stage, from technology selection and engineering to construction, operation, and emergency preparedness, GridStor prioritizes the safety of our facilities and our neighbors.
Committed to Maricopa County
The White Tank Project will help power economic growth in Maricopa County using battery energy storage, similar to the 255 MW facility in Phoenix – built by the same construction company as GridStor is working with – and the 300 MW facility near Tonopah.
The White Tank Project has been carefully sited adjacent to existing local electric infrastructure and the communities that need it most. Once operating, the facility will increase regional grid resilience and reduce the risk of blackouts during periods of high electric demand.
GridStor is working closely via its existing service agreement with Rural Metro Fire on facility design, construction, and emergency response training before operations begin.
Construction vehicles will access the site via W. Indian School Road. Traffic control will be implemented on W. Indian School Road to maintain safe access in and out of the project site and minimize road delays during construction.
